OBJECTIVE
Savills Place was briefed to support Rushden Lakes’ summer campaign, ‘Ready, Set… Summer!’ with PR activity, to engage local audiences, attract consumer footfall, encourage dwell time, and support current brands.
The campaign aimed to ride the wave of global sporting stories, which were forecast to dominate summer 2024.
APPROACH
Savills Place launched a tennis-themed PR Moment to align with the national Wimbledon tournament and target an engaged Rushden Lakes audience of dog owners.
Activity centred around the refresh of the destination’s popular floral arch photo opportunity, and was accompanied by a Facebook prize draw, social media content creation, paid media support, website articles and assets, and a press release.
WINbledogs also featured within other Savills Place-led activity, including an influencer event at Rushden Lakes, whereby the team hosted a group local dog influencers to showcase the vibrant destination during summer.
RESULTS
- Generated local influencer support, including Louise Pentland (3.7 million Instagram followers)
- 30,806 Impressions, 25,640 Reach and 2,823 Engagements on Rushden Lakes posts across Facebook and Instagram
- Local media coverage
- Promoted Rushden Lakes as a dog-friendly destination, and raised awareness of the brands who welcome dogs
- A positive response and photo entries from local dog owners.
- Increase in footfall during week two of the activity
