Purpose of the role

The purpose of the role is to create, manage and deliver strategic marketing and communications solutions for Savills Place-Shaping & Marketing clients. These range from Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) through to shopping/leisure centres.

As part of the place-shaping team, the role will involve guiding and assisting our clients with delivering their own marketing and communication plans, the creation of PR and event plans, managing creative campaigns and handling media buying within a set budget.

The objectives of the marketing strategy is to drive footfall, dwell-time and build brand awareness of each place (i.e. shopping centre/leisure scheme), assist agents with the wider lettings strategy (where appropriate) and enhance the customer experience. 

The role requires a self-motivated person to manage and administer a high volume of work with the ability to oversee several projects at any given time.

It requires high level knowledge of marketing practice, commercial awareness, measurement techniques and reporting skills.

Main Duties

1. To raise brand awareness and support the deliver of place-shaping services.

2. Ensure relevant and compelling content is used across all channels – online and offline to maximise exposure of place brands.

3. Manage and set the overall Marketing & PR strategy, to include setting objectives for clients and effective implementation of these.

4. Create and deliver onsite seasonal event activity.

5. Manage and respond to budgets and budget planning requirements.

6. Take client briefs, organise design, photography, print and copywriting where required.

7. Manage social media content and performance for clients.

8. Identify commercial opportunities and align our marketing and PR campaigns to achieve set KPI’s.

9. Report to clients, on-site management and tenants on a regular basis.

10. Liaise with appointed agencies, consultants, suppliers and commercial operators.

11. Close liaison with Clients, Surveyors, and the Centre Management Team.

12. Visit schemes as and when required to assess and report on the current Marketing.

13. Co-ordinate monthly and quarterly management reports.

14. Co-ordinate current budgeting & financial procedures within the team.
