With the long summer evenings gone and a chill in the air, crazy quarter has crept upon us. This means for the retail and leisure industry it is about to get hectic! Included in this whirlwind of the next couple of months is half-term, Halloween, Black Friday and Christmas!

Due to Covid, however, this year is a little different. Understandably, many clients have decided in the interest of public safety that events that would have included large gatherings, are either minimised and downsized or alternative campaigns are produced. Therefore, in the past few years, our strategy and planning for some clients may have looked a little different, but it does not mean any less work.

Early planning for the chaotic months leading up to Christmas is essential. This gives us enough time to plan and action campaigns with all the correct contingencies in place.

Much of our campaigns this year be digitally focused. This approach allows us to stay agile but also be able to analyse, process, and present results. Specifically, during the Christmas period, we love to create new and exciting ways to market and engage with audiences digitally.

We are seeing a few small-scale events over the next few months. For example, Christmas light switch ons, snow globe installations, Santa grottos and much more. This is a great way to remain Covid safe as it keeps families in smaller groups but still allows people to come together as a community. For small scale events, our clients have been ensuring a ticketing system to maintain safe levels of interaction.

We are super excited about the upcoming period and hope to spread some cheer amongst what has still been a tough year for many!
