Purpose of the role

The primary function of the position is to assist in all aspects of the operations of the assigned portfolio of Savills Place-Shaping & Marketing (a subsidiary of Savills Management Resources Ltd) where it provides management services to town and city centres, and to BIDs. At present BID management contracts include, Ipswich, Nottingham, Southend, Ilford, Bromley, Milton Keynes, Leicester, Hemel Hempstead, Uxbridge, Stoke on Trent and Clapham Junction. A key part of the role will be to project manage to maintain and expand the portfolio.

Main Duties

  1. Work on all aspects of projects to support local BID managers in their front facing role with clients.
  2. Work on site with BID and Savills Place-Shaping & Marketing staff in order to ensure projects are delivered to expected standards.
  3. Project manage all component tasks in order to meet expected timescales of both client and company.
  4. Project manage all component tasks in order to meet financial budgets and timescales.
  5. Be the main Savills Place-Shaping & Marketing point of contact for the operational side of the managed sites within your area.
  6. Development and production of annual budgets and action plans in conjunction with the on-site teams.
  7. Periodic reporting of the Savills Place-Shaping & Marketing managed BIDs’ status to the SPSM Board.
  8. Monthly review of operating statements.
  9. Attendance at relevant managed BID board/committee meetings.
  10. Liaison with BID Directors to ensure company returns and documentation are completed as required.
  11. Liaison with BIDs, Savills Place-Shaping & Marketing and Savills in the recruitment of new staff.
  12. Handling the induction of new staff, including those based at BID locations, in terms of Savills Place-Shaping & Marketing / Savills processes and integration into the team.
  13. Arrangement of multi-site team meetings.
  14. Assist in the ‘future proofing’ for additional, potential managed sites. Business Development function to increase the management portfolio by promoting services to other BIDs.
  15. Financial analysis, market studies where required.
  16. Ensuring each BID is operating in accordance with its business plan, is delivering additionality and returns on investment for levy payers, and is being managed with good governance controls
  17. To analyse and manage any risk.
  18. A willingness to travel, with some overnight stays and occasional weekend working, as required.
